Hansal Mehta’s Father Passes Away; Scam 1992 Director Says ‘Always Thought He Would Outlive Me’; Farhan Akhtar, Manoj Bajpayee Offer Condolences

Director Hansal Mehta’s father has passed away. He took to his social media to mourn the demise of his father Deepak Subodh Mehta. In his emotional note, he wrote how he always thought his father would outlive him, and called him the most gentle and generous human being. Bollywood celebrities such as Farhan Akhtar, Manoj Bajpayee, Rahul Bose, Saiyami Kher and others expressed their grief, and offered condolences.
Sharing a picture with his father, Hansal Mehta wrote, “I always thought he would outlive me. I was wrong. See you on the other side Pappa. The most handsome man in the world. And the most gentle and generous human being that I’ve ever met. Thank you Pappa for your unconditional love. Thank you my legend, my hero." Farhan Akhtar wrote, “deepest condolences,” while Manoj Bajpayee wrote, “Will miss his gentle smile love and concern for all of us !!! He lived his life with grace!!!! Stay happy uncle wherever you are!!! TAKE CARE HANSAL!!"
Rahul Bose tweeted, “My deepest condolences, @mehtahansal. These are the most difficult of times and we must stand together. Strength and best wishes to the family.” Nikkhil Advani, Vishal Dadlani, Dia Mirza, Saiyami Kher also expressed their grief and offered sincere condolences.

In May this year, Hansal Mehta had informed via a tweet that 6 people in his home, including him had tested COVID positive. “6 people in my home including me were COVID positive. Our son was critical. But we were helpless as we were sick too. Thankfully we were in Mumbai where hospital beds, oxygen and medicines were available.
